A Little Sweetness, a Little Sin, and a Whole Lot of Rocky Horror

While some productions entertain an audience, others pull it into their world. The opening night of Milburn Stone Theatre’s production of Rocky Horror Show left the audience laughing, cheering, and begging for more. Cecil County’s own, Mondo, making his directorial debut delivered a dark and deliciously sinful experience. Striking a balance between honoring the rebellious roots of Richard O’Brien’s original stage musical and introducing a fresh perspective, Mondo has succeeded.

The unforgettable Dr. Frank-N-Furter is portrayed by Dane Hutchinson, who delivers a remarkable performance that pays tribute to the late Tim Curry, while making the character all his own. The talented Hannah Kries brings the lovable character of Magenta alive with her infectious energy and vibrant personality. While the narrator is often an overlooked role that is easily forgotten, that is not the case with the performance by Christopher Zaczek, whose off-the-cuff wit and perfectly timed comedic punchlines keep the audience engaged and entertained.

Every individual involved in this production has worked tirelessly long hours to bring it to life, and the hard work has paid off. With shows on 10/23 at 7pm, and on 10/24 at 7 pm and at 11pm: don’t miss the chance to see the production and get collectible stickers in the prop bags being sold at the concession window. Go see one show, or all of them, you won’t be disappointed.
