I created this traditional pen and ink drawing as a representation of the situation between Russia and Ukraine. In the events before the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Russia had several thousands of soldiers and dozens of military vehicles within close proximity of the Ukrainian border on the cause of a “Military Exercise” Here I have deliberately highlighted that very situation in the form of a satirical Political Cartoon. NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) was desperately trying to prevent Russia from invading Ukraine which is represented here in my drawing. However, retaliation against NATO would be swift in there intervention in the conflict. NATO now indirectly involves themselves by supplying Ukraine with the resources necessary to hold off the Russian threat at their doorstep.
